With the installation file running, choose Uninstall and continue with the process. If you don’t have it handy, you could re-download the file from here. You should have this file from when your first download the app. Open the installation file called DFStd.exe. That is the indication that the application is currently disabled and you can safely uninstall it. Try either of these locations: C:\Program Files\Faronics\ or C:\Program Files(x86)\Faronics. With the application inactive, you could go and delete the folder where Deep Freeze is located.

The software should uninstall and reboot the machine. Run the installation file (DF5Std.exe or DF6Std.exe). By default the name of this file is called "DF5Std.exe" for versions 5.X and "DF6Std.exe" for versions 6.X.
